We are now launching a Volunteer Opportunities website! Whether your business or organization is in need of consistent volunteers or or has a one-time volunteer opportunity, let us know! Fill out the Volunteer Opportunities form linked below and let us help you find your next volunteer
Volunteers The Sandy Community Action Center wouldn’t be what it is today without the help of our wonderful volunteers. They’re a great group to be around and are so valuable to us. We can continue to operate the food pantry (and supporting thrift store) because of all the energy they supply each day. We currently have volunteer opportunities in the food pantry as pantry hosts and stockers. In the thrift store we look for cashiers, sorters, and receiving dock support. We are also interested in what special skills and ideas you bring to support our mission. Please complete the Volunteer Application and return it to Cheri Hinkel by stopping by the Center, or by emailing the application to the link below. Please give us a call if you have any questions. 503-668-4746. If you’re under 18, we also need a parent to complete the Parent Waiver.
AntFarm Youth and Family Services
AntFarm is encouraging and seeking youth and adult volunteers to come out and work at any of our service learning programs. These programs consist of CommunityConnect, Planet365 recycling program, and the Woodlot. Volunteers are highly appreciated, and AntFarm staff will work with you to find the program that is right for you. Send an email to Olivia below if you would like to volunteer!
Sandy Actors Theatre
The theater is a non-profit, community theater. We appreciate volunteers who are willing to help build and paint sets for our plays, learn how to run the sound and light boards, clean and perform various tasks that come about. If you are an actor, watch for auditions. If you want to volunteer send an email to Steven below.
