SACC at Work 1/1/2013 Happy New Year

This Week Around Town…

Happy New Year.

jan_startThe Chamber is working on recharging membership through committees this year.
It’s our members who make us strong! We need you to get involved in an area of business advocacy that meets your interests and helps our community thrive. Beginning in January, eight committees, each chaired by a Chamber board member, will represent the diverse and various needs of our members. This is your opportunity to help us hit the ground running in 2013 and steer the Chamber in a direction that truly supports business and community success! This week we are highlighting the Economic Development Committee, chaired by board of director Hanna Smith from TCBY. A local economic development committee is formed to build up the economic capacity of a local area to improve its economic future and the quality of life for all. It is a process by which public, business and nongovernmental sector partners work collectively to create better conditions for economic growth and employment generation. If you would like to be a part of this committee contact our office at 503.668.4006.
