Early Assessment Support Alliance

Linnea Stenhouse MSW, is offering a FREE informational talk about the services of EASA – http://www.easacommunity.org/. This program is for community members, teachers, parents and mentors that have contact with youth. The goal is to direct them and/or their families to help and support.  EASA program is for young people experiencing first break psychosis in Clackamas County. It offers community based counseling and case management. We work toward keeping young people out of the hospitals and jails.

Brief description:  Register online to reserve your spot! Adult Paint night will be hosted by Sandy Library Board Adviser Melissa Lawrence. We shall enjoy a two-hour guided painting class using acrylic paints on canvas. The predetermined painting will be taught step-by-step in front of the class by an instructor. Are you interested in improving your Spanish? Intercambio is a new, weekly group starting at the Sandy Public Library. You are invited to come and practice your Spanish, while helping native Spanish speakers practice their English, in a casual, friendly setting.

Mt. Hood Hospice invites you to participate in our popular happiness support group based on the book Awakening Joy, by James Baraz. More than just a “feel-good” program, this group focuses on practical ways to incline the mind towards happiness and provides a positive network for developing and strengthening

practices that support a happier life.  We hope you will join us on this five month adventure in mindfulness as we develop our natural capacity for well-being, happiness and ease. Returnees are welcome!

Grief Education/ Support Group

Mt. Hood Hospice Grief Support Groups

People who are grieving the death of a loved one are invited to participate in Mt. Hood Hospice’s  bereavement education/support groups.  Our upcoming group will be meeting in Gresham for 5 consecutive Monday afternoons beginning on Monday, February 27, 2017.    Whether it has been months or years since your loss, this group can provide a supportive environment to help you develop coping skills, expand your support network and share your stories.  There is no cost for participating, but registration is required.   For details on meeting time and place or for more information please contact Emilie Cartoun at 503-668-5545 or email e.cartoun@mthoodhospice.org.
