Detailed Information: The Sandy Community Action Center is a hunger relief agency serving individuals and families living within the Oregon Trail School District. We work with agencies throughout the Portland Metropolitan area to provide food, clothing, referrals and encouragement to low income families. The Center was founded in 1961 by Pete and Helen Sulzback, and Frank and Joyce Marcy. They loaded food and warm clothing into the trunks of their cars and took it to the migrant work camps around Sandy. From that humble beginning the Center has grown into what it is today: the oldest food box agency and emergency resource center in Clackamas County.
