Sandy Actors Theatre 2008 - 2009 Season

Beginning next season, SAT is providing FIVE PLAYS for its Clackamas County audiences, including two melodramas. All productions are appropriate for all ages, young and less-young alike.

Gracie for President • September 12 – October 11, 2008

Gracie Allen runs for President, and her faithful campaign manager is George Burns. Peals of laughter as Gracie runs the wackiest, most unpredictable campaign imaginable. Music, frivolity, and an forgettable evening. This production represents the world premiere of a play written by a woman from Forest Grove, and it will transport audiences back to the “good old days” of early television.

Egad, the Woman in White • November 7 - December 6, 2008

One of the most hilarious melodramas ever written. Boo’s for the villain and applause for the young fair maiden and her unrequited love. Will they ever be re-united…? The show ran for over a year recently in Los Angles. A true classic!

Over the River and through the Woods • January 23 - February 21, 2009

A heart-warming journey through the lives of two sets of grandparents that often will leave you laughing and sometimes with tears in your eyes. Will they ever succeed in marrying off their handsome grandson…?

Murder on the Rerun • March 20 - April 17, 2009

Ghosts, goons, and goblins come together in a delightful comedy-mystery and “who-dun-it.” What if a person could come back from the grave to solve his (or her) own murder? And what if a team of zany ghosts could help solve the mystery?

Dirty Work at the Crossroads • May 15 - June 12, 2009

A classic melodrama-musical that has withstood the test of time. Twists and turns in the plot will have audiences on the edge of their seats. Peals of laughter and highly talented singers will provide and evening of delightful entertainment.
